How much is my university textbooks worth? 

Every student in South Africa studying will require textbooks at some point in their study year and they are quite pricey. Below we will explain to you, how you can check the value of your textbooks and where you can get the most money for your textbooks. 

Top selling subjects 

• Business: Textbooks in this category usually have a high value associated with them, especially the accounting and corporate finance field. 

• Nursing: nursing textbooks can also work out to be popular and quite pricey. Be sure to keep them in good condition, so that when time comes to sell you can get back the most you can. 

• Science: Science books are by far the most expensive textbooks. Whether you are studying biology, chemistry or even environmental science, you can be sure they will cost you. 

Textbook Edition 

Another thing to keep in mind is university textbooks tend to get outdated quickly. For example, if you have purchased a 4th edition textbook, you can be sure that the 5th edition will come out soon.  

This is something to keep in mind, so that as soon as you are finished with that textbook you can list it for sale, otherwise you will be stuck with a textbook that has little to no value when the new edition comes out.
